Zen Awakening Festival is a “transformational” music and arts festival with the main focus on TRANSFORMATION. These experiences, often unplanned, take place in any number of spaces throughout our sacred grounds. Our workshop presenters have been carefully selected by our workshop Coordinator  Jamie VanDemeir & Loretta Shepherd, to bring you the most diverse, interactive, and thought-provoking learning opportunities.  The workshop curriculum is designed to immerse participants with a multitude of on-going programs for the whole family, such as Qigong, Aerial Yoga, Fire Arts, Permaculture, and Gem Mining, just to name a few!  With well over 100 Presenters and 200 workshops to engage with over 4 days, we ensure that the experience will be quite impressive!

Daughter of Katy Star, Aurora hosted her first workshop 7 years ago at Zen Awakening Festival. In her 11 years on this beautiful planet, Aurora has learned all about ahimsa, living green, upcycling, eating organic, plant-based foods, supporting local growers, art, music, yoga, aerial arts, and walking the path of a medicine woman. She loves sharing what she has learned with the world, both at events as well as online. She has taught her mommy many valuable lessons, such as how to appreaciate each and every moment, and the value of patience and slowing down to enjoy this beautiful life. Aurora was born with psychic and healing abilities that continue to grow as she harnesses her gifts. She’s the youngest person in the US to have earned her Reiki Master Certification.
